Join us at the corner of 40th and Spruce on the University of Pennysylvania campus for a taste of the Copabanana's famous fresh lime margaritas, Spanish fries, and gourmet burgers.

The Copabanana University City has typical Copa style windows surrounding the bar and dining room for viewing campus life. Watch the bustle of the University students and faculty, neighbors, or visitors catching a movie at the nearby popular state-of-the-art Bridge Theater.

We also are proud to feature our Underground.
It's a cafe with live bands and acoustic music.

1/2 price cocktails , $2 domestic beers, $5 Margaritas, and 1/2 price appetizers DAILY 5-7pm, Mon-Fri

1/2 price drinks with College ID everynight from 10pm-12am

Other Copabananas include the original, at 4th and South Streets, one one in the Northeast in Grant Plaza. Each Copa has its own neighborhood flavor and similar but slightly different menus.

A long parade of “Best” awards have honored the restaurant's burgers, margaritas and fries as has the most recent Zagat's guide.

Check www.myspace.com/undergroundinphilly for for scheduled musicians.

Located in the heart of University City, the Underground is a basement bar/performance area below the Copa at 40th and Spruce. The entrance is on the 40th Street side.

The Underground is open Friday and Saturday nights and features all original music ranging from folk music, aggro metal, punk rock, rock and roll, hip hop, overly literate power pop, and everything in between. In the works are all-ages Sunday matinee shows and possibly an open mic night.
